Computer Legacy Foundation
Who We Are
We are a group of retrocomputing enthusiasts who want to keep the past alive. Our goal is to preserve the history of personal computing, as it was in the late 70s and the 80s. Those late nights, sitting in front of green phosphor terminals, playing the latest game or talking to friends on a BBS near or far - these are our defining moments.
What we do
Our mission is to preserve the soul of 8-bit computing and to share this with the world. Our first project is the Commander X16 Community: a web forum for fans of The 8-Bit Guy's "Dream Computer."
Our goal is to help David keep the dream alive and to provide a place for people to share their passion for this project and for 8-bit computers in general.
How you can help
We will soon be opening up our site for donations. These donations will fun the Commander X16 community and the modest business expenses needed to run the site (web hosting, fees for licenses, and business filings.)
100% of the money we receive goes to support the site. If there's extra after the end of the year, it will be earmarked for 8-bit education projects for the upcoming year.
